This is a vintage Jeep in approximately 90% stock condition with theremaining 10% comprising upgrades related to safety, reliability, comfort anddrivability. It has the original engine, three-speed transmission and two-speedtransfer case. VEHICLE HISTORY: This vehicle has been adult-owned and has spentall of its life in Southern California. I purchased it in 2001 from the originalowner. An extensive mechanical and body restoration was performed in 2004-2006. This included replacing 100% of all rubber components on engine and body. This Is An Original Red Cj 7. Everything Works On This Jeep, Even The A/c, AndIs In Good Working Order. The Only Thing That Doesn't Work Correctly Is TheClock. It Works But Doesn't Tell The Correct Time. It Has A 4.2 LiterEngine With A Mopar Fuel Injection Kit That Was Installed In Late 2015. TheTransmission Is T-5 (5 Speed). The Motor Was Re-built 9,000 Miles Ago And TheIntake & Exhaust Manifold Was Replaced In January. Recently When It Was SmoggedI Had A Compression Test Done Which Shows Cylinders 1 And 4 At 135 Psi And AllOthers At 140 Psi. The Jeep Does Not Have A Hard Top But Comes With A Soft TopAnd Bimini Top And They Are In Good/decent Shape. The Tires And Rims Are NotOriginal And Are Mickey Thompson 33". This Jeep Has Been Babied Since 86 And TheOnly Reason I'm Selling It Is Because I Need The Room In My Garage. ManyThings Have Been Replaced Over The Years To Keep It In Great Condition As ADaily Runner And It Has Never Been Off Road Or Abused. This Jeephas 77,494 original miles, and the engine was professionally rebuilt 500 milesago. The 4 speed manual transmission and transfer case were also disassembled and inspected (Both were in great condition), andreassembled with new seals. Jeep runs great, I just did the first oil changesince the rebuild. Also, all new clutch installed. This was a NM Jeep when Ipurchased it. I have done the following: Engine- professionally rebuilt, andcarefully broken in. Transmission- inspected, disassembled and new sealsinstalled Transfer Case- inspected, disassembled and new seals installed Clutch-all new Radiator- re-cored and rebuilt by radiator shop All new single-exitexhaust system with glass pack muffler, installed one year ago Other new parts:Ignition coil Alternator Water Pump Thermostat Weber carburetor rebuilt HeaterCore Center Console New Shift boot New plastic glove box Frame- while I had theengine out, I disassembled and stripped the front part of the frame (fromfirewall to front bumper) and coated with two different types of rustpreventative from POR-15. That part of the frame is very clean looking and willrepel rust for decades to come. Many miscellaneous new parts, too many to list,hoses, electrical parts, etc. Upgrades: New Heater Motor designed for ChevyBlazer- blows lots more heat! Weber 32/36 carburetor, recently.

Runs fantastic and I had plenty more upgrades planned for her. Unfortunately, we need to make room for baby! This was a secondary, garage kept island Jeep for my wife and I to run around on spring and fall days. It runs and looks GREAT. Sorry to see the jewel of my garage go, but it is time for her to move on to a new home!

Production was only from 1981 - 1986, and on a much more limitedvolume than the CJ7. Subsequently, values are 30-40% higher than similarlyequipped CJ7's, and 50-60% higher than CJ5's. My Scrambler has been aTexas truck it's entire life. 2 Owners. There are no rust issues. Theoriginal floors and bed are still in the truck. The hardtop fits very nicely. The doors shut nicely as well, and close flush with the body and have even bodygaps all around. The paint on the truck is original and tells a tale of awesomeadventures and good times through its dings and scratches. The original transfer case, and axles are all still with the truck. The rearaxles has been upgraded to Alloy One-Piece axles and the front hubs have beenupgraded to SuperWinch locking hubs. The original 6 cylinder has 109,000 milesand change. It still has the original Carter carb on it. Start up takes a 5-7pumps and about 30 seconds to get warmed up enough to idle nicely.

I don't think thatthere is another one of these in the United States. Run and drives perfect. Newpaint and interior. This is a MUST SEE!!! I am the 3rd owner of this vehicle. Itwas shipped to me 5-1/2 years ago by my late brother who lived in Australia. The interior seats have been reupholstered with suede and leather. Theheadliner has been replaced with new original material. All new weather seals. The yellow is a factory color and was the better choice from the original bluethat it came in. My brother shipped a spare engine and transmission to overhaul,if I got bored and wanted something to do. The original engine in it runsperfect. The white wall tires were the choice of my brother, but I think theylook great. The undercarriage is as good as the rest of the vehicle. We haveadded the appraisal that was done back in 2012. Appraisal states that it wasworth $19,500.00. Appraisal was done before the interior was replaced.

Great little jeep... We drove it last week to be sure it would a struggle to get it past 50-55. I'm guessing these were meantmore for a large ranch or mainly a second car. It runs very nice... it was alwayscared for.. my knowledge pretty much stops at the VIN!... Im a sports carguy.. never got into the jeep scene... we Have NEVER sold anything crappy... because we never boughtcrappy. hope it gets a good home.
